Hmmm. I have a love/hate relation with this submission. I hate that it is paywalled completely. Not only that, but offering a discount on a yearly subscription implies that I won't find a job for a year :D But enough of the badmouthing.
This is actually a genius idea at its core. I have actually experienced at some of my companies this issue: they have only advertised a job on the company website, and they were looking like surprised Pikachu, when nobody applied for months. The job wasn't bad at all, it was also paid reasonably, simply no one found it.
I also like that the site isn't exclusively US-centric, which is quite rare.
15-something/month isn't a huge price, though when you are jobless, you count every penny. Would you consider some trial (like view 3-5 jobs before payment)? As a personal note, I think actually the companies should pay for this, but I know that this business model is stillborn unfortunately...
App creator here. I very much agree with your analysis, thank you. I keep trying to figure out a free trial that makes sense so I appreciate your input and could possibly show the user a subset of the job listings as a free version.
Currently you can browse the jobs without paying so its not entirely paywalled but I don't think that is obvious to the user. But asking the job seeker to pay is quite meh indeed. However if the job seeker is willing to pay then the service has an incentive to make features more for them (rather than the employer as a customer). I am trying to make this more like an ongoing search for job seekers who can create highly curated filters and stay up-to-date when things pop up on company websites. And I would like it to not stop at the point of interview but rather become a papertrail for your job search (while also being able to do things you can't do on employer ad driven sites)
Anyway appreciate the very solid feedback and this is still a WIP indeed
