Similar in Ireland, the last country in Europe introducing a postcode https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_addresses_in_the_Republ... They didn't learn from the UK and the postcode data is also closed.

Yep, one code uniqely identifies a block/building. The only thing it doesn't identify is the unit number.
