Am I understand right that HDMI is not possible in free/libre distros with no blobs?

umm, from _my_ reading of it seems that apple distributes the firmware for every bootable os partition, thus, every (apple silicon) device which needs the firmware has it already. this gets loaded by the bootloader anyways...

might have something to do with DRM(digital rights management)?
