Ask HN: What are some problems to solve?

I think I have fairly good skills and knowledge in the areas of programming (Java, Python, SQL), Mathematics, Blockchain/DLT, Cryptography, Data Analytics, Quantum Computing - in that order.

Currently I'm finding some free time on my hands. I did a research task in Quantum computing for the past 4 weeks, wrote my own minimal simulator and got bored.

What else can I do? Thinking to do more in Data Science, but don't know what to take on, to have a significant purpose and impact. May be post-quantum cryptography is a good area?

Any suggestions?

Consider volunteering some time to the Grassroots Law Project, an organization dedicated to working toward racial equity in the United States through deep police reform, decarceration, decriminalization, and immigration reform. They have different research projects at different times to tackle some of these issues from local to federal scale, and your Python and Data Analytics skills in particular could be very useful to the project and to human rights in the States. https://www.grassrootslaw.org/
