When Copilot was first released I called it Bing and it got mad. :P

Or a monkey. Or a car (when I was a kid one of our cars was called George.)

I dunno, I think it works in any organisation small enough to only have a small number of any given thing. One you start having fleets of servers then you’ve got to switch to fleet naming.

This is true, we had a bad hail storm come through in 2010 that dimpled an appreciable fraction of the cars in the city like golf balls. Most were deemed repairable write-offs. Went right over a couple of luxury car yards. A bunch of people at my work moved our cars undercover 10 minutes before it hit, and felt kind of silly… for 10 minutes, until it hit.

Car insurance premiums jumped by quite a lot that day, as far as I can tell permanently.

That’s brilliant. A phone’nt, if you will.

A PDA... Portable Distraction Accessory. Or maybe that should be Plywood...

This reminds me of the Hipster PDA craze from decades ago

Come on, phon't.

Maybe the cats were themselves invented by mice?

Are you thinking of some kind of “hungry intelligence” but for fatigue?

Well yes, but are you wiggling the giblet or are you flensing the grobbulus? Because the latter requires specialised equipment and a flensing trampoline, whereas the former requires a 1mm Allen key and possibly a hard whack on a nearby surface while nobody’s looking.

Flensing trampolines are out of my budget, so it's just giblet wiggling for me.

I've seen a few people flense without an f-tramp using a retro-stabilising grob clamp instead, if you've got one.

I thought they were in senior government by now

The two are not exclusive, apparently.

Really all this happened before: https://www.nytimes.com/1993/01/17/us/new-presidency-boomers... The moment the dead went from counterculture to the unofficial band of the clinton white house was the real shift IMHO.
